Engine Removal
After extensive preparation, we're ready to remove the two Caterpillar diesel engines.

Haul-out
On a rainy February day, we hauled out the Nootka Princess and placed the vessel on boat stands in preparation for the retrofit.

Final Voyage
With the assistance of Caleb Cameron, owner of Cameron Outdoor Adventures, the Nootka Princess departs the dock for its final journey under diesel power, heading to the boatyard for haul-out.

Vessel Discovery
After purchasing the Nootka Princess from Cameron Outdoor Adventures, the Rising Tide Boat Works and Rising Tide Research Foundation teams took a trip to experience and test the vessel, which was still powered by two Caterpillar 3208 diesel engines.
